Agartala, February 12, 2026: The Tripura State Legal Services Authority (TSLSA) will organize a Mega Lok Adalat across the state on February 14 as part of its continued efforts to reduce the mounting backlog of cases in courts.

In addition to the four National Lok Adalats conducted annually, the special Mega Lok Adalat aims to further ease judicial burden. Elaborate arrangements have been made in all district and sub-divisional courts to ensure smooth proceedings.

Altogether, 23,698 cases will be placed before 28 benches for disposal. These include 18,368 cases under the Motor Vehicles (MV) Act, 4,503 under the TP Act, 207 under the TG Act and 620 under the Excise Act.

TSLSA Member Secretary Jhuma Dutta Chowdhury said notices have already been served to both parties in the listed cases. “Pre-Lok Adalat sessions are being conducted at all District Legal Services Authority offices from February 9 to 13, giving parties an opportunity to settle disputes in advance,” she informed.

Appealing to litigants, she urged them to avail the opportunity to resolve cases swiftly and without incurring legal expenses.
