Baghmara Civil Hospital marked a significant milestone with the successful delivery of a healthy baby girl weighing 2.6 kg through an emergency C-section — the first surgery conducted in the hospital’s newly upgraded Operation Theatre.

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma congratulated the medical team for their achievement, highlighting the impact of improved healthcare infrastructure in rural areas.
