In a successful operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya seized contraband items valued at ₹10.60 lakh on December 19, 2024, along the Indo-Bangladesh border in the East Khasi Hills (EKH) and West Jaintia Hills (WJH) districts.

The seized items included chocolate, a motorcycle, blankets, garlic, sugar, and liquor. The operation underscores the BSF’s continued efforts to curb smuggling and enhance border security in the region.
