Meghalaya: BSF Seizes ₹6.11 Lakh Worth Of Contraband Along Indo-Bangladesh Border

In a successful operation on December 18, 2024, the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya seized contraband items worth ₹6.11 lakh in the East Jaiñtia Hills (EJH) and South Garo Hills (SGH) districts, along the Indo-Bangladesh border.

The confiscated goods included liquor, blankets, garlic, sugar, and various food items, which were being smuggled into India. This seizure highlights the BSF’s continued efforts to curb illegal trade and enhance security along the sensitive border region.
