Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Saturday laid the foundation for a 10-bedded Integrated AYUSH Hospital at Merengipara in South West Garo Hills. The hospital will provide lifestyle-related treatments including Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and traditional therapies.
Sangma highlighted improved road connectivity in the border area and announced plans for an alternative bypass road to ease movement.
He also noted the start of a Science & Commerce College in Mahendraganj and ongoing infrastructure development in schools and colleges. The Hili–Mahendraganj Road project is expected to enhance connectivity and promote regional industrial growth.
