Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma met representatives of UAE-based retail giant Lulu Group on Monday to explore opportunities for increasing the global reach of the state’s agricultural products.

This discussion follows the November 2023 agreement between Lulu Group and the Meghalaya State Agricultural Marketing Board (MSAMB) signed in New Delhi.

Lulu Group currently sources Khasi Mandarin, organic pineapples, and organic ginger from Meghalaya, which are sold at its outlets in Dubai and across the UAE. The meeting focused on strategies to scale up exports and broaden the international market for Meghalaya’s produce.
