Shillong, Jun 20: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Friday visited Rengmagre village under the Selsella C&RD Block and handed over sports and musical instruments to local youth. The initiative fulfilled a promise made during his previous visit to the area.

The Chief Minister had briefly stopped at the village about a month ago while travelling to Masangpani and interacted with the youth, even joining them for a game of cricket. During the interaction, the villagers had requested assistance for playground development and musical equipment.

Fulfilling the commitment, the equipment was formally distributed during the visit. A “CM Connect” session was also held, where residents shared their concerns and development needs. Sangma thanked the community for their participation and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to resolving the issues raised.
