Conrad Sangma on Saturday held a meeting with Wahehchnong leaders from the Jaintia Hills region to discuss issues related to governance and development.
According to official information, the discussions included border-related matters affecting local communities. The meeting also reviewed proposed amendments to Rules 8 and 128 of the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council aimed at strengthening administrative processes.
Pending liabilities under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act were also discussed. It was decided that these dues would be cleared before proceeding with the adoption of the VB-G-RAM-G framework to ensure smooth implementation and accountability.
