Meghalaya CM Inaugurates Girls’ Hostels At North Garo Hills

Shillong, May 26: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has inaugurated two girls’ hostels on Monday, one at Mendipathar College and another at Resubelpara, constructed under Article 275.

The Mendipathar College hostel was built at a cost of ₹3 crore and will be managed by Awe SHG on a non-profit basis. The Resubelpara hostel, constructed at ₹2.5 crore, will be managed by Ramke Memorial School.

“These hostel spaces will give a decent, safe and secure living environment for girls and encourage those coming from far-off places to continue their studies,” CM Sangma wrote on X.
