Shillong, May 26: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has launched two key initiatives to advance climate action and adaptation goals in the state.

The initiatives include the Climate Adaptive Community-Based Water Harvesting Project, a ₹500 crore project supported by the Asian Development Bank, and Megh Adapt Pay, a ₹47.19 crore project under the Payment for Ecosystem Services program.

These projects aim to enhance water resilience, protect forests, restore degraded lands, and promote ecosystem health across Meghalaya. According to CM Sangma, these efforts mark a significant step toward a more climate-resilient Meghalaya.
