The Meghalaya Chief Minister – Conrad Sangma today laid the foundation-stone of “P.A. Sangma International Medical College & Hospital” at the University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM).
This foundation-stone was laid in presence of the Global Leader from USA – Rhonda Vetere; former Meghalaya Governor – R.S. Mooshahary; Home and Education Minister – Lahkmen Rymbui and other distinguished guests.
Speaking at the the occasion, the Chairman of ERD Foundation Guwahati & Founder of USTM – Mahbubul Hoque asserted that “One of the standout features of the Medical College and Hospital is a 200-bedded super speciality hospital incorporated with all sorts of technological amenities and cutting-edge research. Moreover, we will make its service entirely free for the people of Meghalaya.”
Addressing the mediapersons, Vetere noted of contributing towards developing an overall integrated communication strategy through international liaison; in order to promote and enhance the university’s vision globally, celebrate partnerships with world-class institutions and offer consultation on organisational structure, governance and administration.
Besides, mobile application will also be developed to help patients attain hassle-free appointments of the doctors; thereby availing Ambulance and various other facilities.
Taking to Twitter, the Meghalaya CM wrote “The P A Sangma International Medical College and Hospital of @USTMeghalaya whose foundation we laid today is a great tribute to my late Father who firmly believed that investment in people is the greatest investment.”
