Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma convened a review meeting with officials from the Social Welfare Department and Meghalaya Police to assess the progress of initiatives under the Drug Reduction, Elimination, and Action Mission (DREAM).

The discussions centered on strengthening rehabilitation infrastructure, enhancing enforcement through coordinated measures, and expanding awareness campaigns across communities, educational institutions, and local leadership.

Emphasizing the importance of a structured and outcome-oriented approach, Sangma called for clear timelines, stronger inter-departmental coordination, and deeper community engagement. He underlined that these steps are essential to accelerate implementation and move closer to building a healthier, drug-free Meghalaya
