Shillong, Aug 13: The Meghalaya State Education Commission has presented its reform report to the state government, detailing measures to align the state’s education system with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Officials said the report was compiled after extensive consultations with educators, professionals, and teacher associations. It recommends initiatives in areas such as school consolidation, higher education reforms, teacher training, student performance, and structural transformation of the sector.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said the report would act as a “vital roadmap” for policymakers and stakeholders working towards meaningful improvements in the state’s education system.
