Shillong, May 17: Meghalaya Chief Minister visited Wahlyngkhat in Pynursla to review the proposed site for the Living Root Experience Centre and the upgradation of the trekking route leading to the iconic Living Root Bridges. The initiative aims to enhance the tourism experience for visitors and hikers.

The Living Root Experience Centre, estimated at Rs 30 crore, will be developed under a Community Public Private Partnership (CPPP) model with active involvement of the local community.

In addition, a Rs 40 crore Wahkhen Residential Music Retreat is also planned to promote and showcase the indigenous cultural heritage of the region.
