Meghalaya’s Cherry Blossom Festival has been honoured with the Golden Banyan Award for Best Cultural Music & Dance at The Week Heritage Awards 2025.

The award was received by Brenda L. Pakyntein, MCS, Director of Tourism, from Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. Pakyntein highlighted the importance of preserving cultural heritage for future generations.

The festival, which draws music and culture enthusiasts from across India and abroad, has become a prominent event showcasing world-class performances and immersive cultural experiences. It has also contributed to Meghalaya’s recognition as a leading concert destination in India.

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma congratulated the organisers, saying, “Congratulations to Team Meghalaya Tourism and Team Rockski for consistently delivering this spectacular event each year.”
