Militants Ambush Security Post Near Indo-Myanmar Border; Four Assam Rifles Personnel Injured

In a fresh outbreak of violence along the Indo-Myanmar border, suspected militants ambushed a security post near Border Pillar No. 87 in Tengnoupal district on Friday morning.

According to official sources, four personnel of the 3rd Battalion of the Assam Rifles were injured in the attack, with one reported to be in critical condition.

The ambush occurred near Saibol village, a remote area close to the international border, heightening concerns over increased militant activity and rising cross-border hostilities. Reinforcement teams have been rushed to the site, and a search operation is underway to track the perpetrators.

Security along the frontier has been tightened as investigations continue. More details are awaited.
