Agartala, May 23, 2026: Tripura’s Animal Resource Development (ARD), Fisheries and Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das on Saturday held an important departmental review meeting at his official residence in Agartala despite it being a government holiday, underlining the state government’s emphasis on speedy implementation of public welfare schemes.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Deepa D. Nair, ARD Director Neeraj Kumar Chanchal and SC Welfare Director Jayanta Dey. Discussions were held on several important matters related to the three departments under the minister’s charge, with special focus on accelerating the delivery of benefits from ongoing government projects to the people.
Speaking after the meeting, Minister Sudhangshu Das said that the government is committed to ensuring that welfare schemes and development initiatives reach every section of society without delay.

“Today, at my official residence, I held discussions with the Secretaries and Directors of the three departments under my charge regarding various important departmental matters. Additionally, key decisions were taken with the aim of expeditiously delivering the benefits of various ongoing projects to the common people,” the minister stated.
He further said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Manik Saha, the state government is working with the objective of ensuring last-mile delivery of services and welfare assistance.
“Under the leadership of the state’s popular Chief Minister, Professor Dr. Manik Saha, our primary objective is to ensure the swift delivery of government benefits and services to the last person in society,” he added.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of various departmental schemes and administrative initiatives aimed at strengthening public service delivery across the state.
