Agartala, January 6, 2026: Animal Resources Development, Fisheries and SC Welfare minister Sudhangshu Das on Tuesday called on the Governor of Telangana and former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, Jishnu Dev Varma, at Lok Bhavan in Hyderabad.
The meeting was described by Minister Das as “meaningful and engaging,” with discussions spanning a wide range of governance and development issues. He briefed the Governor on Tripura’s steady progress under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, citing ongoing initiatives in welfare, infrastructure, and sustainable growth.
Political observers noted the cordial exchange as a reflection of the leaders’ shared roots in Tripura’s administrative and political landscape. Such interactions, they said, help strengthen inter-state ties and foster dialogue on governance models.
Minister Das highlighted Tripura’s consistent growth across multiple sectors, with emphasis on livelihood generation, welfare of marginalized communities, and long-term sustainability. Expressing optimism, he stated that the state’s trajectory under CM Dr. Saha’s leadership “will continue to deliver positive outcomes for the people of Tripura.”
