Aizawl, Dec 31: Esther Lalduhawmi Hnamte, the young Mizo singer and recipient of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2025, has been invited to perform at industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s Mumbai residence, Antilia, on January 5.
The prestigious award, India’s highest civilian honor for individuals under 18, was presented to Esther by President Droupadi Murmu at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, last Friday.
Esther’s manager, David Lalzawmliana, confirmed that the Ambani family extended the invitation on Monday. She will perform the patriotic song “Teri Mitti” from the film Kesari at a cricket team felicitation, with travel arrangements managed by the hosts.
Locally, Lunglei Deputy Commissioner Navneet Mann honored Esther on Tuesday with a Certificate of Honour and Rs 10,000, praising her for bringing national attention to Mizoram and Lunglei through music that fosters unity. He encouraged her to continue excelling in her studies alongside her musical career.
Esther’s mother, R Lalawmpuii, expressed gratitude to mentors, supporters, and the district administration for supporting her daughter’s journey, including the nomination for the Bal Puraskar. Esther is also expected to perform at Lunglei’s Republic Day celebrations in 2026, subject to scheduling.
