Aizawl, May 17: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma inaugurated the 17th Digital Transformation Conclave at the Dawrpui Multipurpose Hall in Aizawl. The event was jointly organized by the Department of ICT, Government of Mizoram, along with GovConnect, Google Cloud, and Ilouge Media. ICT Minister Vanlalthlana attended the event as the guest of honour.
In his address, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of affordable and accessible digital services, stressing their role in efficient and cost-effective governance. He outlined several key initiatives by the state, including the Mizoram State Public Grievances Redressal & Monitoring System, Kai Apps, RAMP MSME Facilitation Cell, SDG Dashboard, MPLAN Project Monitoring Dashboard, e-RAM for tax services, the online ILP system, and Aizawl Civil Hospital’s OPD registration platform. He also announced upcoming projects such as government e-offices.
Referring to the recent hacking of a government website, the Chief Minister assured that the issue had been resolved and called for greater cybersecurity awareness, especially among officials handling digital platforms.
ICT Minister Vanlalthlana emphasized the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in governance and family safety. He advocated for inclusive internet access and secure cloud-based data storage, noting that digital development is vital to achieving the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
The conclave also featured addresses by Chief Secretary Khilli Ram Meena, DGP Anil Shukla, MEA Joint Secretary Mahaveer Singhvi, DARPG Additional Secretary Puneet Yadav, and Google Cloud representative Lokesh Lohiya. ICT Secretary Amit Sharma chaired the inaugural session, and Ilouge Media Co-Founder Fahim Hag shared the event’s objectives.
The conclave continued with sessions involving government and private sector experts discussing digital strategies for state development.
