Mizoram CM Discusses New Airport Project With Civil Aviation Minister In Delhi

Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma met Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu in Delhi to discuss proposals aimed at strengthening the state’s aviation infrastructure.

Key points of discussion included the proposal for a new greenfield airport in South Mizoram, heliport development under the PM-UDAN scheme, and the formal transfer of Lengpui Airport to the Airports Authority of India (AAI).

The Union Minister, in a post on social media, stated that enhancing air connectivity in Mizoram is a matter of national interest and crucial for the region’s economic progress.

He reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to the ‘Act East, Act Fast, Act First’ policy under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
