Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Monday launched the Mizo DiasporaHub portal at RB McCabe Hall, Aijal Club. The portal, developed by the Mizo Diaspora Cell under the Chief Minister’s Office in collaboration with LushAITech, aims to connect Mizos living across the globe.
Speaking at the launch event, the Chief Minister highlighted the state’s commitment to innovation and transparent governance through the development of various digital platforms. These include Mipui Aw (Public Grievance Redressal), e-Ram (Land Revenue App), e-OPD (Online OPD card system), Kai Apps (Attendance for government employees), SDG Dashboard, MPLAN, ILP Online, and the cloud-based e-Office & Filing System.
Lalduhoma said the new platform will serve as a digital bridge to connect Mizos worldwide, ensuring support, coordination, and effective communication between diaspora communities and the state government. He urged Mizo welfare associations around the world to register on the portal and make full use of its features.
The Mizo DiasporaHub allows welfare associations to connect with each other, access useful tools, and receive government support in times of crisis. It includes features like AI-enabled translation and SOS alerts. The government intends to offer assistance to Mizos abroad, especially in difficult circumstances.
Chairman of the Diaspora Cell, Vanlaldina Fanai, shared that the Cell was constituted on 11 June 2024 to address challenges faced by Mizos living overseas, particularly those affected by irregular migration and exploitation. He called for responsible migration and stronger links with Mizoram.
The portal is now open for registration by Mizo welfare associations, with individual registration to follow soon. It is available on Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and as a web platform.
