Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma chaired a meeting at the CM’s Conference Hall on Tuesday to review arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on September 13 and the public gathering planned in connection with it.
Chief Secretary Khilli Ram Meena gave a detailed account of the meeting held on September 6 and the arrangements made so far, after which various departments and stakeholders discussed their responsibilities and plans.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive on September 13, and a public meeting will be held at Aizawl. On the occasion, the Bairabi–Sairang railway line will be inaugurated, along with the flagging off of three new railway services:
Aizawl–Delhi Rajdhani Express (Anand Vihar Terminal)
Aizawl–Kolkata Express
Aizawl–Guwahati Express
In addition, two new educational institutions will be inaugurated and six new development projects will also be launched.
