A District Level Orientation on Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyaan, organised by the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, was held today at the DC Conference Hall, Lawngtlai. The programme was chaired by Donny Lalruatsanga, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman, District Level Committee on Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyaan.
In his address, Donny Lalruatsanga emphasized that one of the objectives of Aadi Karmayogi is to achieve Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047. He highlighted that the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has prioritized development in tribal areas through healthcare, education, infrastructure, and other welfare schemes. He further underlined the responsibilities of District and Block Level Master Trainers, along with line departments, in ensuring the success of the Abhiyaan.
The Chairman asked for a timely submission of reports under the Abhiyaan to the District Level Committee at the earliest. He further urged the Master Trainers, line departments, and citizens to work collectively so that tribal communities can fully access the benefits of government programmes.
Margaret J. Vanlalremmawii, SDO (S) and District Nodal Officer, explained the vision and scope of Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyaan, which aims to train over 20 lakh government employees to become effective leaders in tribal regions. She informed that six District Level Master Trainers, Block Nodal Officers, and Civil Society Organizations/NGOs have already been appointed in Lawngtlai, while Block Level Master Trainers will soon be selected. A Perspective Action Plan will also be prepared in collaboration with CSOs and NGOs. Furthermore, Village and Local Councils have been requested to convene Special Gram Sabhas under the initiatives.
During the programme, District Master Trainers including J.R. Lalhruaitluanga, DEO, and Lalramliani, ARDO, also delivered short speeches. At the function, five District Master Trainers conducted practical sessions on the Abhiyaan along with various line departments.
The Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyaan is set to be implemented across 73 villages of Lawngtlai District. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the Deputy Commissioner.
