Aizawl, Mar 28: Mizoram is increasingly playing a strategic role in India’s Act East policy, thanks to its location at the tri-junction of India, Myanmar, and Bangladesh, Mizoram Governor VK Singh said on Friday.
Addressing a delegation of journalists from Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, Singh highlighted the state’s geopolitical significance despite its small population and size. “The state is uniquely positioned, making it a key player in India’s Act East policy,” he said.
He also pointed to Mizoram’s friendly relations with neighboring countries, contributing to largely peaceful borders. Singh further mentioned the state’s designation as India’s “ginger capital” and outlined ongoing development initiatives across various sectors.
