The Mizoram Governor – Hari Babu Kambhampati today convened a high-level meeting to address specific issues pertaining to the three Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) – Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC), Mara Autonomous District Council (MADC) and Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC) at the Raj Bhavan.
During the meeting, the issues ranging from late submission of account statements to the CAG by the 3 ADCs, infrastructural projects under the 3 ADCs and the difficulty faced in the recruitment of staff under ADCs were comprehensively discussed.
The Governor first invited the representatives from the ADCs.
Besides, the state officials and PAG were also asked for a response. Following the response from each team, the meeting discussed ways and means to solve the issues pertaining to the 3 ADCs.
The meeting concluded with Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati who advised the ADCs to pull in as many projects as they could with 100% financial support from the central government and recommended this kind of meeting be held at least once annually.
On behalf of the state government, Vanlalchhuanga, Principal Secretary, Finance Department, Dr Lalrozama, Secretary, District Council & Minority Affairs and Lalmalsawma Pachuau, Secretary, Planning Department attended the meeting.
The CAG office was represented by L.Hangsing, Principal Accountant General and his team.
In this meeting, V.Zirsanga, CEM and his officers represented Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC), Buddha Lila Chakma represented Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC) while in the absence of Malvina, CEM, K. Chhihrau, ES represented Mara Autonomous District Council (MADC).
