Aizawl, May 10: Kolasib District officials convened a crucial meeting on Saturday to discuss the strengthening of Civil Defence preparedness in light of growing national security concerns. The meeting, chaired by Kolasib Deputy Commissioner Robert C. Lalhmangaiha, focused on key strategies to ensure the district’s readiness for any potential security challenges.

The Deputy Commissioner urged enhanced cooperation among various government agencies and civil society organizations, calling for a unified approach to security. He stressed the importance of citizens refraining from sharing sensitive military information on social media platforms, citing the collective responsibility in supporting national security efforts.

Kolasib Superintendent of Police, David H. Lalthangliana, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the importance of preparedness in line with the Civil Defence Act of 1968. He highlighted that despite Kolasib’s relative distance from conflict zones, vigilance and readiness remain essential.
