A group of landowners in Mizoram has threatened to protest over pending compensation for land provided for the Bairabi-Sairang railway project, ahead of its inauguration.

At a press conference in Aizawl on Tuesday, 14 landowners said they are yet to receive Rs 14.56 crore for their land. Four of them claimed they have not received any payment, while the others have received only partial compensation.
