Aizawl, Oct 22: Mizoram Police have arrested 71 people, including 15 foreign nationals, since September 1 during a state-wide operation targeting drug smuggling.

Inspector General of Police (Headquarters) H. Ramthlengliana said the operation is being conducted jointly by Mizoram Police, the Excise and Narcotics Department, and the Young Mizo Association (YMA). The drive, aimed at curbing drug trafficking across the state, is set to continue until December.

Authorities described the arrests as part of an intensified effort to combat narcotics-related crimes in Mizoram.
