Mizoram has emerged as the second least corrupt state in India, Chief Minister Lalduhoma said on Tuesday, describing it as a proud milestone for the people of the state.
Addressing the diamond jubilee celebration of the Mara Students’ Organisation (MSO) in Aizawl, Lalduhoma highlighted Mizoram’s strong performance in governance and tourism among Northeastern states.
Referring to a study believed to be the CMS India corruption report, the chief minister said the recognition reflects progress under a transparent and accountable administration. He urged students to join the government in maintaining ethical standards and continuing the fight against corruption.
Lalduhoma also stated that the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) government has created 515 new jobs since assuming office in December 2023, with another 2,087 posts approved for direct recruitment and 532 through limited departmental examinations.
