Aizawl, July 14: The Mizoram government is preparing to launch a biometric and demographic data collection drive for over 35,000 Myanmar refugees currently taking shelter in the state, a senior official from the home department said on Sunday.
The enrolment is scheduled to begin in the last week of July and will be conducted online through the Foreigner Identification Portal. The process will initially be implemented in towns and villages with reliable internet connectivity.
