Saitual, April 8: The Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Dr. Raj Bhushan Choudhary paid an official visit to Saitual District, where he reviewed developmental activities and interacted with government officials and local leaders.
During his visit, the Minister held a meeting with officials from various departments and local leaders, who highlighted their needs and the challenges faced in the district. In his address, Dr. Choudhary assured full support from the Government of India and reiterated his commitment to facilitating the district’s progress across multiple sectors. The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner, Srinivas Sadi, who delivered a detailed presentation on departmental activities and achievements using PowerPoint.
As part of his visit, the Minister, accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner, Srinivas Sadi, and the Superintendent of Police, Gaurav Tyagi, inspected the water reservoir at Sihfa village constructed under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). He was received by Er. Lalpektluanga, Senior Executive Engineer (PHED), and Er. Lalzuala, Sub-Divisional Officer (PHED).
Dr. Choudhary also visited the District Hospital, where he reviewed healthcare services and infrastructure. He was received by Dr. Zothanpari Chhakchhuak, Deputy Chief Medical Officer.
The visit underscores the Government’s continued focus on strengthening water supply infrastructure and public service delivery in Saitual District.
