Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Ram Nath Thakur visited Siaha on Monday as part of the Poorvottar Sampark Settu Programme to review ongoing initiatives. At the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Siaha, he was received by Senior Scientist and Head Dr. H. Vanlalhmuliana and staff members.
During the programme, the Minister expressed gratitude to stakeholders and acknowledged the work carried out by KVK Siaha. He emphasised the importance of farmers in India and highlighted the government’s continued focus on strengthening farmers’ welfare and livelihood. He also presented the Best Innovative Farmers Award and inspected stalls showcasing local agricultural innovations.
A cultural presentation was performed by students of Don Bosco School, Siaha. Dr. Vanlalhmuliana delivered a brief report on ongoing KVK activities before concluding the session.
Later in the day, the Minister visited the District Hospital, Siaha, where he was received by Medical Superintendent Dr. C. Lalrosanga and hospital staff.
