Aizawl, May 10: Lalhnehpuia Chhakchhuak, a 22-year-old student from Zarkawt, Aizawl, has been conferred with the prestigious Anhfeldt Medallion by North Park University, Chicago, during its graduation ceremony held on Saturday.
The Anhfeldt Medallion is awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional academic excellence and maintain a high Grade Point Average (GPA). Chhakchhuak began his academic journey at the university in the Fall Semester of 2021 with a 50 percent scholarship and has since earned one of its highest honours.
He is the only son of Aldrin Lallawmzuala and Dr Lalrinsangi. Chhakchhuak shared that he plans to take a gap year to gain practical experience through his work visa before pursuing postgraduate studies.
His achievement has been widely celebrated in Mizoram, with Home Minister K. Sapdanga congratulating him on social media, describing the recognition as a proud moment for the state.
