An important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today at the Office Chamber of P.C. Vanlalruata, Minister of Cooperation, Government of Mizoram, at MINECO, Aizawl.
The MoU was executed between the Mizoram State Cooperative Marketing & Consumers’ Federation Limited (MIZOFED) and the National Co-operative Exports Limited (NCEL).
This collaboration aims to strengthen export-oriented agricultural and allied products from cooperative societies in Mizoram, enhance market linkages, and promote sustainable value chains for commodities produced by local cooperatives.
Under this partnership, MIZOFED will facilitate identification and procurement of cooperative products, while NCEL will provide national-level institutional support, export facilitation, and quality assurance mechanisms. The agreement is expected to boost producers’ income, expand market opportunities, and integrate Mizoram’s cooperative sector with national and global export networks.

The MoU was signed by Lalhruaitluanga, Managing Director, MIZOFED, and Unupom Kausik, Managing Director, NCEL, in the presence of the Hon’ble Cooperation Minister and officials from the Cooperation Department and MIZOFED.
This marks a significant step toward enhancing cooperative-based economic development and leveraging Mizoram’s potential in the export of agriculture and allied products.
