Agartala, January 24, 2025: Tripura’s Hrishyamukh Block under south district witnessed a significant milestone today as the state government reaffirmed its commitment to doubling farmers’ income through proactive initiatives. Speaking at a program organized by the Agriculture Department to distribute agricultural equipments, Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath highlighted the government’s determination to empower the farming community.

“Our farmers are the backbone of the state’s economy. The government is working tirelessly to enhance their livelihoods and double their income. This initiative is a step forward in that direction,” said Minister Nath during the event.

The program was held at Hrishyamukh Block where 19 Graves Company’s Neptune mini tractors were distributed among farmers, carefully selected as beneficiaries under a subsidy scheme. The mini tractors, designed to meet the modern agricultural needs of small and marginal farmers, were handed over by the minister himself.

“These mini tractors will revolutionize farming practices, reducing manual labor and increasing efficiency. The government is committed to providing farmers with the tools they need to succeed,” Minister Nath added.

The event was graced by the presence of Minister Shuklacharan Noatia, MLA Pramod Riang, MLA Sapna Majumdar, and prominent social worker Dipayan Chowdhury, among others. They applauded the state government’s initiatives to support farmers and emphasized the importance of agricultural mechanization.

A detailed discussion was held during the program, where Minister Nath outlined various measures the state government has implemented to uplift the farming community. “From providing modern equipment to offering subsidies, our focus remains on improving the quality of life for farmers and making agriculture more profitable,” he stated.

Farmers who received the equipment expressed their gratitude and optimism. “These tractors will make a big difference in our work. We are thankful to the government for their continued support,” said one of the beneficiaries.
