The Third Quarter District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting was held at the Imphal East Deputy Commissioner’s Complex under the chairmanship of Member of Parliament Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam.

The meeting was attended by MLA Thokchom Lokeshwar Singh, members of the DISHA Committee, and senior district and departmental officials. It was coordinated by Deputy Commissioner, Imphal East, Nivedita Lairenlakpam, who also served as the Member Secretary.

During the meeting, the progress of implementation of various Central Government schemes in the district was reviewed. The committee discussed measures to address delays and operational bottlenecks, with emphasis on timely execution, improved inter-departmental coordination and effective service delivery.

Chairing the meeting, Dr Akoijam underscored the need for transparency, accountability and regular monitoring to ensure that the benefits of development and welfare schemes reach the intended beneficiaries.
