Agartala, Apr 22: Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb on Monday met Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi and discussed the maintenance of the Assam-Agartala National Highway (NH-8), which is considered the lifeline of Tripura.

Deb said he raised four key issues related to road connectivity in the state, including the need for urgent repair and maintenance of the NH-8 stretch between Churaibari and Panitilla in North Tripura district.

Following the meeting, Deb stated in a social media post that the Union Minister assured necessary action would be taken by the Centre to address the concerns.
