Agartala, September 24, 2025: On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) organized the NaMo Marathon at Santirbazar in South Tripura district as part of its ‘Seva Pakshik’ program. Former Chief Minister and Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb joined the event and interacted with participants.
Speaking to reporters, MP Deb said the marathon was part of a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting fitness and building a drug-free India. He highlighted that since 2018, India has witnessed a revolution in sports, with the number of athletes as well as award-winning players at national and international levels rising significantly. “This progress is a reflection of the nation’s growth,” he added.
Deb further emphasized the importance of regular physical exercise for maintaining both body and mind. “Every person should dedicate at least one hour a day to exercise. A healthy body leads to a healthy mind, and a healthy mind can take society forward,” he said.
