Security forces in Manipur carried out a series of coordinated operations between 28 and 30 November 2025, resulting in multiple arrests and significant recoveries linked to insurgent activity and extortion across several districts.
In Imphal West, an active PREPAK (PRO) cadre identified as Potsangbam Niranjan Singh, 29, was arrested from his residence at Khagempalli Panthak under Imphal Police Station. Authorities allege that he was involved in widespread extortion targeting doctors, hospitals, school van associations, schools, bakery shops, gym centres, and the general public. Two mobile phones and an Aadhaar card were seized from him.
In separate incidents, security personnel apprehended Maibam Brojen Meitei (51), associated with KCP (PWG), near Litan Thongkhong in Thoubal district, and Kiyam Hemanta Singh (36), linked to KCP (Taibanganba), in Imphal East district. Mobile phones were recovered as evidence during both arrests.

On 28 November, four individuals were detained during routine checking at Phaikoh Outpost under Chassad Police Station in Kamjong district. The suspects — Nengneihoi Khongsai, Mangminthang Haokip, Mangjoithang Haokip, and Lempu Khongsai — were found with Rs 57,77,700 in unaccounted cash and a white four-wheeler. Authorities suspect the money may be tied to unknown insurgent groups, and investigations are underway. That same day, two active RPF/PLA cadres were arrested in separate operations in Thoubal and Imphal East districts.

On 29 November, security forces recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from foothill areas near Mongbung and Seijang village under Jiribam Police Station. The seizure included three double-barrelled guns, one country-made .32 pistol with a magazine, two No. 36 high-explosive grenades, and 118 rounds of assorted ammunition. Officials said the operation was part of ongoing efforts to restrict the movement and activities of armed groups in the region.
