The 24th edition of the Dr. T Ao Trophy, Nagaland’s premier inter-district football championship, is set to be held in Kohima from August 1 to 15.
Organised by the Nagaland Football Association (NFA) and hosted by the Kohima District Football Association, the tournament is supported by the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB), Kohima.
Addressing a press conference at the Indira Gandhi Stadium today, NFA President Neibu Sekhose announced that the championship will follow a knockout format, with participating teams grouped into four pools.
Sekhose further informed that the champions will receive a cash prize of ₹3 lakh, the runners-up ₹2 lakh, and the semi-finalists ₹50,000 each. The tournament will be conducted under the guidelines of the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
