Kohima is all set to host the 24th Dr T. Ao Trophy Inter-District Football Championship 2025, which will commence on Friday at the Indira Gandhi Stadium. All 17 districts of Nagaland will participate in the tournament, vying for the coveted title.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will attend the opening ceremony as the special guest. To mark the occasion, there will be no entry fee for spectators on the first day. A free bus shuttle service from High School Junction to IG Stadium will also be available from 4 PM onwards.

In the opening match, host Kohima District will face Tseminyu District.
