The 5th edition of the Inter-Department Badminton Tournament commenced on Friday at the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Stadium in Kohima, featuring 61 teams representing various government departments.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Joint Mission Director of Samagra Shiksha Nagaland and President of the Directorate of School Education Club, Kevizakie Rio, encouraged participants to remain active by engaging in sports and emphasised the importance of teamwork and coordination among departmental officials to enhance public service.

President of the Inter-Departmental Badminton Club, Vipulhou Lhoungu, officially declared the tournament open.
