The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has instructed all educational institutions in the state to formally declare their campuses, including areas within a 500-metre radius, as “Drug-Free Zones.”
The directive aligns with instructions from the Narcotics Control Bureau under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Schools have been asked to display signboards and awareness materials at entry and exit points, as well as across campus premises.
Institutions are also required to conduct screening and voluntary testing of students and staff, while maintaining confidentiality.
