Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio chaired a high-level meeting on Thursday with Chief Secretary J Alam, senior police officials, and other top functionaries to strengthen security along the Assam-Nagaland border.
The meeting aimed to bolster vigilance mechanisms and prevent illegal infiltration. Sharing updates on X, the Chief Minister said the state government is actively working with all stakeholders and has intensified patrolling along the inter-state boundary.
Reaffirming the commitment to public safety, Rio stated that the government is taking all necessary steps to ensure peace and stability, and added that any unlawful activities will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.
