Nagaland Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio is on a two-day official visit to Vijayanagar in Karnataka, hosted by the JSW Group, to strengthen partnerships in sports development, industrial collaboration, and cultural exchange. During his visit, Dr. Rio and his delegation engaged in high-level meetings with JSW Group leaders to explore collaborative opportunities in sectors like sports, youth skills, industrial investments, and cultural exchanges.

The day began with a visit to the Inspire Institute of Sport, where Dr. Rio observed live training sessions, interacted with athletes and coaches, and experienced the state-of-the-art facilities. He also met with the Nagaland Super League’s Youth under-20 team, currently undergoing high-performance training at the institute. The team is scheduled to play a friendly match against Bengaluru FC.

Dr. Rio’s visit aims to foster long-term partnerships between Nagaland and JSW Group, with potential collaborations in sports development, industrial investment, and cultural initiatives. The delegation will also tour JSW’s major facilities, including the Vijayanagar Steel Plant and Kaladham cultural centre.
