Kohima, Jan 16: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Friday inaugurated the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex in Shamator. The new facility also accommodates the offices of the Superintendent of Police, IPR, DYRO, DPO, and Sericulture.

The complex, conceptualised in 2022-23 following the creation of Shamator district in March 2022, aims to establish a fully functional administrative system in the district. Its inauguration is expected to enhance governance, improve access to government services, strengthen inter-departmental coordination, and ensure timely implementation of schemes.

Chief Minister Rio emphasized that the facility will support law and order, disaster management, revenue administration, and balanced socio-economic development. He urged all stakeholders to take collective responsibility for maintaining the complex, hoping it will become a centre of efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric governance in Shamator.
