Kohima, Jun 4: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Wednesday inaugurated six new sports facilities across the state, reaffirming the government’s commitment to promoting youth development through enhanced sports infrastructure.
Announcing the development on his official X handle, Rio said the facilities will act as centres for nurturing excellence, encouraging creativity, and fostering talent and growth among the youth.
The projects were supported under central schemes including the North Eastern Council (NEC), the Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR), and the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI).
Terming the initiatives as symbols of opportunity and progress, the Chief Minister urged the public to take ownership and care of the newly built assets.
