Nagaland Government Constitutes Reservation Review Commission To Examine 48-Year-Old Job Reservation Policy

The Nagaland Government has approved the constitution of a seven-member Commission to examine the State’s 48-year-old job reservation policy.

Informing this to media persons on Wednesday, the state government spokesperson, and Minister KG Kenye said, the Commission would be called ‘Reservation Review Commission’, spearheaded by a high-ranking former government officer as Chairman.

The Commission will include one official each from the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, Law and Justice Department, the Home Commissioner, along with a representative each from the Central Nagaland Tribes Council , ENPO, and Tenyimi Union Nagaland.

Minister Kenye further said, the Commission will be given a period of six months to submit its report effectively, from the day that they are appointed, subject to extension.
