Governor of Nagaland Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, and Rajya Sabha MP S. Phangnon Konyak have extended warm greetings to the Zeliang community on the occasion of the Chaga Gadi and Langsimnyi Festival.

In his message, Governor Bhalla said the vibrant celebrations mark the completion of the agricultural year and express gratitude to the Almighty for His abundant blessings. He expressed hope that the festivals would strengthen the spirit of unity, peace, and brotherhood among all communities while preserving the rich cultural heritage of the people. The Governor also wished happiness, prosperity, and continued progress to all celebrating the occasion.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, in his greetings, thanked the Almighty for a bountiful harvest and good health. He also paid tribute to the womenfolk for nurturing families and strengthening the community, underscoring their vital role in sustaining traditions and social harmony.

Rajya Sabha MP S. Phangnon Konyak described the festivals as symbols of thanksgiving, renewal, and new beginnings for families and villages. She expressed hope that the festive season would bring blessings, happiness, and prosperity to all.

Observed annually by the Zeliang community, Chaga Gadi and Langsimnyi are harvest festivals that celebrate gratitude, unity, and cultural continuity, reflecting the deep agricultural and spiritual traditions of Nagaland.
